Our Team:

  • Myles Staunton, Principal Solicitor

    Myles was educated in the University of Limerick (Law and European Studies) and the Law Society of Ireland and qualified as a solicitor in 1999.

    Following qualification he worked in a large Consultancy Services and Technology Services Provider as an in-house solicitor and Company Secretary.

    He subsequently returned to private practice and has provided commercial legal advice to various companies for in excess of 10 years. He has extensive experience in transactions ranging from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe, USA and Australia.

    Myles has a proven track record in managing a wide portfolio and completion of high value commercial transactions.

    In 2010, Myles became a recognised Notary Public and a member of the Notary Public Association of Ireland.

  • Deirdre Horkan, Solicitor

    Deirdre was educated in NUI Galway where she obtained a first class honours degree in Legal Science and French and subsequently the Law Society of Ireland. She qualified as a solicitor in 2006.

    She completed her apprenticeship in Mason Hayes & Curran gaining commercial experience and subsequently worked there as a solicitor in the commercial property department.

    Prior to joining the firm of Myles Staunton & Co in 2009 she worked with McDermott, Creed & Martyn Solicitors in Sligo specialising in commercial and residential property.

    Deirdre advises businesses in many areas of commercial and IT activities including commercial agreements and commercial property transactions.

  • Denise Browne, Legal Executive

    Denise qualified as a Legal Executive in 2009 with the Irish Institute of Legal Executives and Griffith College Dublin, obtaining a diploma in professional Legal Studies.

    Denise continued her studies at Athlone institute of Technology where she obtained a first class honours degree in Law.

    Denise works in various areas of law including IT and commercial contracts with a particular focus on Non Disclosure Agreements and Risk Management, litigation, debt collection, conveyancing and employment law.

    Denise joined the firm of Myles Staunton & Co in March 2014.

  • Denise Wynne, Legal Secretary

    Denise has worked with Myles Staunton & Co since 2006 as a Legal Secretary and Office Manager. She previously worked for BT in London for the Divisional Head of the Group Commercial Contracts Unit and Group Procurement Services for over five years.

    During her years as a legal secretary, both in the UK and Ireland, she has gained experience in various types of law including IT and contract law with a particular focus on IT and commercial contracts, conveyancing, litigation, and employment law.

    Denise manages the overall running and administration of the office.

  • Lorinda Donnelly, Accounts Manager

    Lorinda was educated in the National University of Galway where she obtained a bachelor of commerce honours degree. She subsequently attended the Michael Smurfit School of Business where she obtained an honours Masters degree in business studies (MBS). Lorinda is also a qualified secondary school teacher having obtained an honours higher diploma in education from University College Dublin.

    Lorinda has previously worked with Power Supermarkets Head Office (now Tesco) in the marketing department. She has also worked with Bank of Ireland Head Office in the Activity Based Accounting Department. Lorinda has also worked as a secondary school teacher in the area of accountancy, economics and maths.

    Lorinda manages the overall accounts requirements for the firm.
